Therapy for Couples in Maryland

More Information

We will schedule a free 15 minute consultation with all people in the relationship who are planning on attending couples counseling. This will give me the opportunity to hear what you are looking for and see if I am the best fit. It will also allow you to get to know me, my style and approach, and see if I am the best fit for you.

How we'll get started on our work together

We will spend time understanding what brought you into therapy, what’s been challenging in the relationship. We will also work to understand your relationship from the beginning to now. In this first session, we are both continuing to assess if it feels like a good fit.

The intake process often looks like:
Session 1: meet with you jointly
Session 2 & 3: meet individually with each partner
Session 4: begin joint couple's therapy

If we are a good fit, we then begin to meet jointly moving forward.

Your first session

I am an out of network provider, which means I do not accept insurance, and the session fee is due at the time of service. Most services qualify for FSA and HSA accounts, and if you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement by your insurance company.

I know first hand how time-consuming it can be to submit to your insurance on your own. This is why I partnered with Mentaya, a service that submits claims to your insurance company on your behalf and sends you the reimbursement. They charge 5% of the session fee per claim. This is an optional service, I do not receive any payment or benefit from you using this, it is meant to be a helpful resource should you want it!
